About the App
Kobo Transfer lets you duplicate or clone a KoboToolbox project including its form, versions, submissions and media files. You can use it within the same account or between two accounts.
How to Use
- Enter your KoboToolbox API token and the Asset UID of the project you want to duplicate.
- If you are copying within the same account, check “Same account” and press Start Transfer.
- The app will duplicate the project with a new asset ID. If the form is large, wait — the process may take time.
- After the transfer, you can rename the new project inside KoboToolbox to distinguish it from the original.
Notes
- Do not close the window while the transfer is running.
- Your API tokens are used only to communicate with KoboToolbox servers and are never shared elsewhere.
- When you copy the EXE to another computer, wait until the icon appears before launching it.
